ART EXHIBIT

Zia Oshun’s exhibit “Ataraxy” explores the intersections of and the spaces between vexation and ataraxy. Many pieces within this collection were created as part of a cathartic process, created in a state when life felt so loud and intense that everything snapped and became entranced in a sharp sense of still quietness. The figures within Oshun’s work dance between soft tender features and distorted dark curvatures. The artist shares her drawings with the desire to move people within their own bodies, to notice the curvature of their form, the weight and levity that ebbs and flows, the roughness and tenderness that playfully interact, and the diversity in how we engage and emote with ourselves and others.

Stop by the downtown tasting room on Friday July 2 to celebrate Ataraxy with the artist herself from 5 - 6:30 pm.

Outside food is welcome in the tasting room and nonalcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

Our hours downtown are Wednesday through Friday 1-8 pm, Saturday 11 am - 8 pm and Sunday 1-8 pm
